Nilgiri Mountain Railway

Nilgiri Mountain Railway -  The UNISCO World Heritage site.
One of the masterpiece of British engineering which is still in service after 109 years.

Thanks to everyone at Indian Railways, communities & people who keep it maintained and running through mountains of Western Ghat.

It still takes you back in time & makes you imagine the era when train was built and served. There some things such as platform structure, benches, weighing machine, etc which are from 90's. One thing also didn't failed to impress me is the Google WIFI on the station with speed of 50MB/s for free. RailWire is the wifi service started by Indian railways in co-ordination with Google as a part of Digital India programme. It's easy to use as you require mobile number and OTP sent to it to activate the wifi.

I hope this train keeps serving for upcoming years and never lose its glory. Although old steam locomotives are now replaced by diesel locos still its fun & scenic ride.
